FIRST TRIATHLON EVER, TERRIBLE SWIM, COULDN'T GET ANY RHYTHM WITH OTHER SWIMMERS GOING AROUND/OVER/ONTOP OF ME. THAT SAID, MY BEST SWIM TIME IN A POOL WASN'T A WHOLE LOT BETTER--NEED TO WORK ON MY FORM!!!
What would you do differently?:

--NEED TO WORK ON MY FORM!!! A PRACTICE WITH OTHER SWIMMERS WOULD BE GREAT--THEY HAD ONE DOWN AT MERCER LAKE BUT TOO FAR FROM MY HOME TO GET TO

TOOK A LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO PUT ON RACING SOCKS, BUT I LIKE THEM :) FORGOT MY NUMBER/BELT SO WENT BACK TO GET IT, KILLING T1; TURNS OUT I DIDN'T NEED IT UNTIL THE RUN

NOT SPAZ OUT OVER THE NUMBER. OTHERWISE WENT FINE

FELT GOOD TO LET GO AFTER AWFUL SWIM. DRANK 12 OUNCES NEAR END OF BIKE AS PREP FOR RUN AS PLANNED. HELPED TO HAVE A GREAT RACING BIKE (TREK MADONNE 5.2 SL)!
What would you do differently?:

MAYBE TRAIN/PUSH A LITTLE HARDER TO UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE CAN DO THIS WITH AN AVE PACE OF ~25 MPH!?

VERY VERY HOT. RACE DID A GOOD JOB OF PROVIDING WATER. PUSHED AS BEST AS POSSIBLE, BUT SOME PEOPLE WERE CRUISING BY! DIDN'T GO AS FAST AS I HAD HOPED (~8MIN/MILES)

TRAIN FASTER, AS MY BAD KNEES TOLERATE :)

Course: HOT, MOSTLY SUNNY, VERY HUMID...MAY HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE SUMMER. CHOKED ON FIRST WATER, THEN LEARNED QUICKLY TO TAKE LITTLE SIP AND REST WENT ON HEAD.
