Pre-race routine:

Got there early. End slot on the rack for once which is nice. Drank Robeks Aerobek (hopefully to help me be more aero...ha ha) but mostly for the potassium. (hate eating bananas, but this had bananas in it so). Chatted around, used the porta potties before there was a line and got set up. Like my racks spacing and people were cool with each others stuff. (Will change later though in T2)

Swim was okay. Hate the run up the beach to transition. Sighting on the last half sucked, and their was an odd fishy smell at the end of the swim by the jetty
What would you do differently?:

Better sighting, draft more, do nto swim on the outside of the pack (left side) but stay more towards the middle.

I am never prepped for the hills on this. Small hill right out of transition onto another uphill portion= suckage. Got caught trying to drink while starting downhill so I was in aero with a bottle being held by my teeth

More hill prep work.

Some jackhole decided to rack his stuff on top of my transition spot on the end. Oops, I am sorry I kicked your bottles over by accident but they were in my way like your bike that you threw on top of my wetsuit. (Note-this bike was not there 5 minutes before they closed transition prior to the start of the race and it was not the original person who was next to me either). Other than that, my transition time would have been good, but moving the bike, picking my bike up

Almost a PR for me. I hate the run, but actually saw a guy from my tri club and ran with him (he hated the run too)This way had some motivation to walk less and run more. Started to cramp in quads on the last 1/4 mile and had to stop briefly to stretch

More run training/

Good race, and it was awesome to see all of the LB Tri people out there in their kits. Had a bigger showing than last year, which was awesome to see.
