Event comments:

So a couple of things in closing. Did the same course in June, and my overall time was: 1:20:59 and my time in August was 1:18:31. So the improvement was 2 1/2 minutes faster. Nice. There was an irritating moment that still bothers me. When the results where posted I was 3rd in my age group, later when the medals where handed out I found out I was 4th due to a "math error" when I looked at the place racer's time, I don't agree with it. I know how many bikes where in the rack, and that nobody passed me on the run (males that is) and the 4th place run time was significantly slower than mine. So I'm wondering how it occurred (did he start in a different wave)? Anyway on to the next race.
