Swim
Comments: Was able to get out in the 1st group, lots of grappling in the 1st leg, drank a bunch of water at the 1st buoy. after the 2nd buoy had no idea where to sight, or where I was going, headed to the green buoy, and then treaded water to figure out where I was going. Much chop to deal with as well. What would you do differently?: Happy with the swim, one of my faster 1/2 miles, just would have like to know the course better. Transition 1
Comments: LONG LONG run to T1, was a little surprised at the initial heart rate when garmin synced. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: It is a tough bike course no getting around it. I PR'd it, but it is the only thing I PR'd this day. What would you do differently?: Work more hills in practice. Keep building the leg strength Transition 2
Comments: Had trouble getting the bike racked due to the bike next to me. Also had trouble putting on my sneakers. Don't know what that was all about. Run
Comments: OK this part sucked, I was 3rd when I got off the bike. I was passed by 3 more folks, one of which was right in the chute at the end. He apologized later-don't know why? Anyway it was a tough run course, and while I'm getting better this is where the work needs to continue. What would you do differently?: More run training, more speed and hill work. Post race
Warm down: None, talked with the teammates had fun. Saw Steve L, he was 1st in his AG. Heard about Jess P, and her crash :<( What limited your ability to perform faster: Hills? Event comments: Still looking for the post race food, and was happy to see the posted the times on-line quickly. Also heard a rumor this may be the last Kirkland race as the attendance was way down this year. Hope not! Last updated: 2011-08-18 12:00 AM

Nothing special although did walk the swim to bike transition and noticed it was straight up, and long about a 1/4 mile. Seems longer because you gain a bunch of elevation
So tried the usual run before, then headed for the water, but there was a delay of about 20 minutes due to the buoy's floating away. After that it was a 45 minute wait until my wave, and we where not allowed to get in the water before our wave.
