Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5:30, got dressed and packed up. At the course by 6:30. Set up transition and in the water 5 mins before race start.

Comments:

Good swim. Had a great starting spot to the right of the starting buoy and was traffic free until the first turn. Kept a steady pace and breathing/sighting cadence for a majority of the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Could have pushed the swim a bit faster, should have gotten closer to shore before running in.

Trouble with a dry shirt on wet body again. Little trouble getting the bike out b/c the rack was too low. Got a slow start once on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Gotta get a tri suit. Also need to learn how to get into shoes that are already on the bike.

Little stuck getting off the bike at the dismount line. Ran into transition well, but ran to the wrong transition space (they had the same very distinct towel) and spent a bit of time getting to the right space. Good transition after that.

Another great race by element events. Always well organized and well staffed. The post race food tent is one of the best!
