Comments: This started out difficult and never really got better. I definitely didn't have that fresh, tapered feeling after doing the half marathon two weeks ago. I did my best to just keep up the pace. What would you do differently?: Not sign up :) This was supposed to be a 5-miler, but they changed it after I signed up and I went with the 10k instead of the 5k. I don't particularly enjoy the 10k distance, oh well. Post race
Warm down: Walk and stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Race recovery. Also, my foot has been hurting and every step had some pain so that didn't exactly help. Event comments: Super awesome shirt! I like Final Stretch. Something is always funny, like they change the order of events or the course, but they really mean well and they do a really great job with their shirts and also a raffle. Arrived to the parking lot around 8:30, which worked out great because I felt free to park on a random curb close to the building entrance. This is a strategy that works at most races.
Waited in line for the potty, had a banana and chatted with my friend.
