Comments: I like this course. Starts on O'Connor and about a mile in goes onto the multi-use trail. The name of the race is deceptive as there are no hills. I think the old original course was hilly. Did not feel great going into this. Ran really hard Friday night at a local 5K then walked 1:30 with Steve yesterday. My left hip and quad were sore. Once I started running I felt good. Decided to run and walk the aid stations. After seeing that the first mile was sub-11, decided to make that my goal for the run. Ended up averaging 10:54 so I was quite happy. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Like this course. Post race
Warm down: Got some water and headed back to the car to go get breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more speedwork. I have been saying this forever. Up at 5:30. Out the door at 5:45 to pick up mom. She was doing the 5K.
Parked. Went to packet pick up and sat on the curb waiting for the start. Had a Honey Stinger Waffle about 10 minutes before start.
