Swim
Comments: Once again, not my best effort. I only had 3 swims in the month of August so performance is what it is. What would you do differently?: Place more effort into getting in the pool time to decrease the time on race day. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Overall effort was good, felt I shifted gears pretty well to get through all the hills, past more people than those that passed me! Happy with my performance on this course due to my lack of experience on any hill What would you do differently?: Nothing, Transition 2
Run
Comments: Best run in a sprint tri, and I think I may not have ran as hard as I could have. I wanted to pace closer to 8:20-8:30 but my watch went goofy shortly into run and it stated I had ran 2600miles so it was not giving accurate data. The recent increase in training milage on running is really starting to show results Just keep running! What would you do differently?: Not much other than push the run a little harder! Post race
Warm down: Walked around, ate PB&J, water and light stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: SWIM, SWIM, SWIM (I should just copy and paste this into all the race reports) Event comments: Decentg race, left me with the desire to continue into next season with only 1 change, need to make sure to give additional time to swimming! Left home around 430am to go to sight. Got lost twice, this place is in the boonies! Checked out course and TA, set-up and talked with other competitors
Jumped on bike and went out 1st mile of course. Wanted to see what the 1st hill would feel like. Was a little nervous and this went a long way in clearing my mind! Ran 3/4 mile then 300m swim
