Comments: Felt great. Middle of my wave. Breast stroke most of the way with some freestyle. Waited at the beginning so I didn't get kicked in the face. What would you do differently?: Do more freestyle. Train only freestyle since it is a lot faster and doesn't take the room that a good breast stroke does. Transition 1
Comments: Hard getting on shorts. Had a quick drink of water. Went down the wrong row to get bike. Should have paid more attention to what row I was in. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to where my bike was. Laid on biking stuff instead of having in a bag - was afraid it was going to rain though. Bike
Comments: Should have trained more on bike. Quite slow on mountain bike. Road bike would be nice. Hard with wind. What would you do differently?: More longer distances in training. Learn more about gears. Transition 2
Comments: Had trouble racking bike because it was crowded. Not sure what I could have done to prevent this. Everything else was smooth. What would you do differently?: Sneakers out of bag. Run
Comments: Great run for me. Walked a couple of times after large hills. Good run pace when I ran and felt great. Pushed myself to the end. What would you do differently?: Not much for the run. Felt great and very happy with my time. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and drank lots of water. Had a power bar. Slowly kept moving my legs. What limited your ability to perform faster: Wind for the biking, not used to swimming with others - backed off to have my own space. Event comments: This is the only race that I've been to.
