Warm down: jump in the river and cool off...drank 24 oz of water then had a roll a banana and a beer. What limited your ability to perform faster: just trainging...which is good. Day Before: Morning before slept in until 10 and the went and ate a pasta chicken dish for lunch. Light snacks and close to a gallon of fluid in the afternoon while in whirlpool/sauna stretching etc. Ate dinner about 11 hours before race start: Chicken Hoagie...some cheese pita chips and humis. Drank 32 oz. water at dinner. Before bed had 2 beers. went to bed at midnight and got up at 5:15. Should have slept an extra hour but didn't feel too tierd.
Monring of tried fluid only meals...had spark when i first got up and
45 minutes before: Hammer Gel
30 minutes before: CLIF Blocks
20 minutes before: Jogged 1/4 mile and stretched really well
15 minutes before: Muscel Fuel and water
05 minutes before: Catalyst and water
