Run
Comments: Wanted to treat this somewhat as a training run since the plan called for a z1-2 run today. Started out keeping it in low-mid z2 and let it creep up as the race went on until I was in low z3 for the uphill to mile 4. I just couldn't let myself slow down since I felt just fine and the people around me were huffing and puffing (though stil going the same speed). What would you do differently?: Nothing, it was fun. Post race
Warm down: Got a water, banana & bagel & wandered around a little bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not wanting to go all out. Event comments: Huge race - Not much of a sneak with around 10,000 people, but I find these big races alot of fun even if it does mean you are picking your way thru alot of people. OJ, yoghurt & oatmeal & then went down to the race & picked up my packet & walked around a bit.
Light jogging for a couple of minutes and then a good stretch.
