Pre-race routine:

Set up transition area, body marked, walked the in and outs of transtion, got wet suit on and walked down the GIANT hill for the prerace meeting and start of the race.
Event warmup:

didnt really do anything other than walk around alot and strech out.

had a little bit of trouble getting up that hudge hill. had a little trouble getting the wet suit off the ankles.the guy that was supose to be acroos from me next to me set up on the wrong side i had to shove all of his stuff of of my stuff. other than all of that is was good
What would you do differently?:

put more of the wet suit slide stuff on ankles and cant really do anything about the old guy next to me though.

the bike felt good other than the hudge hill i had to get off like three feet from the top cause i was going like 1.5 mph and it was kinda embarrising

the only thing was bad in this transition that probably took more time than needed was that i went to the wrong side of the rack so i had to go around then start transitioning

go on the right side of the rack next time

Warm down:

basiclly we walked through the venders looked at stuff drank water went to the food tent and ate then watched the awards

What limited your ability to perform faster:

probably the fear of doing something major to mess up my hip.

Event comments:

this was a great race and i loved the 9-11-01 remeberance thing on the sleeve of the shirt and the moment of silence and national anthem before the race!!!! such a good race and will probably do it again next year!!!

Course: couldnt really see the first buoy because of the sun off the water, so i ended up following the pack. after rounding tht buoy since i could see where i was going i started to pass people.

Course: the course was beutiful!!!!!!!!!!!! the roads were a little hard on the butt at some points but most of the time good. the hudge hill i had to get off and walk the last like three feet cause i was going like 1.5 mph....but other than that the volenteers did great directing people and etc.
