Run
  • 1h 37m 54s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 07m 28s  min/mile
Comments:

Went out a little too quickly. First mile was at 6:50 and the second at 7:05. Slowed it down a little and got into a good pace. Didn't pay much attention to pace after that. I was really happy when I came in under 1:40.
What would you do differently?:

Start out a little slower
Post race
Warm down:

Kept moving around and even got a beer which is unusual for me after a run.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Flat course would have been faster.

Event comments:

Water stations were spaced poorly. Again, like last year, they had no gatorade or similar. No porta potties either. We really like they course. It is interesting and challenging, but think we might just do the Shamrock Half next year instead.

Performance: Good
Course: No big hills but a series of rolling hills starting out in Colonial Williamsburg and following the "County Road" towards Carter's Grove. Hopped of the road and did a short loop in Kingsmill and then back on the road and back the way we came. Finished inside of William & Mary Hall.
