What would you do differently?: Not eat alfredo pasta the night before. Had some stomach issues. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: This was my first marathon so I wanted to ensure I didn't push myself so hard that I couldn't finish so i maintained a steady 9:30-10:00/mi pace. Event comments: Would have rated this race as a 5 but the crowd at the end of the race was too much. I almost had to push through people at the finish line to get through and get across the timing chip sensor. *Hydrate with Nuun 4 times a day for 4 days in order to saturate muscles with electrolytes but without the excess sugars in other sports drinks. *Carbo-load for 2 days at lunch and dinner.
*Wake up at 4am, drink one Nuun beverage, eat a bagel with very little cream cheese and some jam, prepare Ironman Perform in Fuel Belt, and stretch.
None, was late getting to the starting line due to hold ups on the Metro train.
