Comments:

15,300 registered runners. Took me abuot 10 minutes to hit the start after the gun. The course is MOSTLY downhill or flat. There are small little ups, but nothing major. Since I was aiming for a time between 1:10 and 1:15, I was very happy.
What would you do differently?:

Not ridden my bike as much two days before. Bring my own water. I've been struggling with cups for some reason.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Did too much the week before, wasn't mentally in it for the middle miles, and figuring out a better way to get water.

Event comments:

It's Broad St., what can I say? It's a huge race, lots of help, lots of runners. The start is tough; very crowded and I ended up on the sidewalk for most of the first three miles. But that was no biggie. Having the hydrants spraying water as you went by was a nice touch. The post-race stuff was decent: water, Gatorade, yogurt and a goodie bag. One complaint: Get a better t-shirt!!!! Stupid cotton. Huge race like this, and they can't spring for something decent....mumble mumble....
