Run
Comments: Under good circumstances, this would be a tough run. With the weather, it was tough. The mud made running almost impossible in some areas. The inability to train on hills in Houston, along with the snow, made it even worse. All in all, it was a tough, cold morning. What would you do differently?: Not bite off more than I can chew. Or, pay closer attention to weather forecasts. Post race
Warm down: Get out of wet clothes and try to warm up. What limited your ability to perform faster: Weather, mud, course. Event comments: I'm sure this is a very good race when it is a typical fall day in Colorado. Unfortunately, the weather made it difficult. Definitely an experience. Last updated: 2011-10-10 12:00 AM

Try and stay warm, and dry. Picked up bib, etc. the day before. Picked up chip on morning of race. Due to the weather, it was a little hectic for some late arrivals getting chips. Chalk it up to the rain, snow, and wind.
No warmup to speak of. Tried to stretch a little, but it was tough with everyone finding any type of cover possible to stay dry.
