bike was checked the day before which was great, less to think about the day of. by myself for this one so pre-race was not quite as fun as it could have been

What would you do differently?:

not much. peeing is so annoying. hard to pee on bike for me and i can hold it for maybe 4-5 miles. i saved all caffeinated drinks to latter part of bike to give more kick on therun. good idea. repeat this

total BS drafting call!!! not only did we get all jammed up with TT start, the guy called a draft on me because HE WAS BLOCKING ME ON HIS STUPID MOPED FROM PASSING THE GUY AHEAD OF ME!!! oh well :P

good prep on my part for this time. main goal was to break 3 hrs on bike and 2 hrs on run. good job.

none. got very sick and tired immed after race finish.

Event comments:

will not repeat his race. i know a lot has to do with the weather. i dont blame the RD or the race, but a lot of kind of blah on this race. the high school looked like beirut, the weather screwed us up....i sound negative. try the race with an open mind, but i will choose another. good luck!

Course: they cancelled the swim due to heavy rains recently and left a bitter taste for many. made the best of it and tried to really hammer the bike.

Course: altered due to weather and fallen trees. VERY HILLY which was difficult and unexpected, but i think i did well. wiped out going 30mph due to very poor awareness by RD...very slippery, new course (and rerouted to boot the morning of) and no one to slow us down around sudden turn. bike and leg too a beating but ok to proceed.
