Swim
Comments: Not real happy with the swim. Had a lot of contact early on and got water in the right goggle. Breathing was too labored by first buoy. Took 3 strokes of breaststroke to get things back under control, then started feeling better. What would you do differently?: Should've tested goggles more than once before the race. Need to do a better job of controlling breathing early in the race. Transition 1
Comments: No major events here, felt pretty good about this transition. Bike
Comments: Made some time improvements here but still would've like to have seen more. Bike upgrade should've earned me some gains by itself. Definitely not going all-out on the bike though knowing the run is coming. What would you do differently?: Need more time training on the bike Transition 2
Comments: Got my shoes stuck a bit when trying to get them on. Should look into going sockless and maybe losening the laces a bit. Other than that transition was pretty good. Run
Comments: Hard to complain here. Run course may have been short though, Garmin said 2.95. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some food and fluid and ran back to the family to watch family and friends finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more time on the bike. Event comments: Another well-done race by the folks at Got the Nerve. Organization is great, and a few little course changes in the last few years have been good. I'll be back again.
