Comments:

Our mission to get Kara a sub 30 5K. Might of helped of we could find her at the start. Lined up with Ken, Rob and Mike trying to make ourselves tall to find the girls. Didn't find them before the start. It was a one of the most confusing starts. People were moving left and right without any direction. I'd be next to Mike then Rob then Ken and then a total stranger. Mike circle around back to find Y but Ken found her upfront. She and Cheri were moving well, told us Kara was up front. It took a half mile to catch to her. She was doing well. Mike and hung with her and encouraged her on. At the two mile we about we were hitting 9:30s. Looking good. We started moving at two tens out and Kara started moving well. Mike gave a good pep talk.
We turn to the finish and it already was saying 30:XX. Damn missed it. It was still her personal best by a minute and half. Missed seeing Y come in. She got her sub 35 minute run with Jake.
What would you do differently?:

Get the garmin working for Y so she won't yell at me after the race.
Post race
Warm down:

Breakfast at Perkins once we found it. That's what happens when they turn the old Perkins to a Dennies then open a new Perkins. It was nice to sit and visit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

gravity

Event comments:

Thanks Ken for the lift.
