Swim
Comments: First triathlon ever. Second OWS. the current pushed me about 100 yards past the second buoy. I had to fight the current to get back on course. Pretty tired after that. What would you do differently?: More open water swim training. Also need to learn how to swim. I only started swimming in July. I have no prior swimming experience at all. Transition 1
Comments: Could have gone faster during T1 but I was still catching my breath from my fight with the ocean! What would you do differently?: Practice T1. Bike
Comments: This was my longest ride to date. It was tough but I was able to pass some people on the bike, I was also passed by some people. What would you do differently?: Train on hills. Transition 2
Comments: Alot faster. Maybe I need a tri suit or real tri clothes instead of basketball shorts and a dri-fit shirt :) What would you do differently?: Invest in real tri gear. Run
Comments: This is where I felt comfortable. Running from T2 and up the hill was the hardest. Just chugged along enjoying the experience. Was thinking about the other events instead of focusing on the run. What would you do differently?: Focus on the run instead of daydreaming. Post race
Warm down: Took pictures with the family and collected my gear. It was getting pretty hot and the family needed a nap. What limited your ability to perform faster: More training!!! Got the family ready made to the base and racked the bike with only 5 minutes before my wave start.
Running around like a chicken with his head cut off for 5 minutes.
