Comments: I had been training to run a 1:40:00, but missed by a little; still improved my PR (4 the race and HM by 4-1/2minutes). I also planned to run with the 3:30 pace group, but I wasn't able to locate the pacers. I think it was just as well because I would likely have run a slower race. I had a good plan and executed the plan very well (regular hydration and 1 gel at 10k). Good plan, good result. What would you do differently?: Nothing; I trained for a 1:40 and was just off of that pace. Post race
Warm down: Walked, stretched. What limited your ability to perform faster: I held back a little early on because it was a little warm, but I don't think that changed the result much. Event comments: This is the 3rd consecutive year I've run the Covenant Half and I'll likely keep doing it. Great pre-season competitive warm-up and a very well run race.
