Comments: The amount of people caused difficulty in trying to get water and refreshments. I was completely dehydrated in the last 3 miles. I didn't use enough shot bloks either. I will have to think about using a camelpak next time. I wore new compression socks and they did awesome. I had no cramping in my calves and no tightening of muscles. What would you do differently?: DRINK MORE!! I got goosebumps due to dehydration towards the end. Also, my pace dropped dramatically. I should have trained more than 12 days for this event. My knee will need some time to recover as will my ankles. Post race

I ate a bowl of fruit loops and finished packing my stuff. I took some Flovent and ProAir and some acid reducer. I was drinking a lot before the race which caused me to have to go to the bathroom twice before the race. I did use 3 shot bloks before the race. I woke up refreshed and was excited to go. I also rode a B cycle to the race which was very refreshing and got me in the mood.
I rode about 2 miles. It was an easy and super low intensity ride.
