Comments: Ran a very good race. Forced myself to maintain a slower starting pace to prevent a let down later. Switched to a sub 8 min mile pace at mile 9.2. Tried to maintain a 7:15 to 7:30 to the apex of diamondhead. On the downside dropped to below 7 min pace. Last half mile held a 6 min pace to the finish. had a fair amount of gas in the last several miles. What would you do differently?: Maybe increase the pace in the first 10 miles. My main focus was pace for this race and evaluate my potential pace for the marathon Post race
Warm down: Walked around, untied my shoes, grabbed some gatorade and oranges. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough training time. I tried to cram some in the last two weeks.
