Run
Comments: I was shooting for 34:xx, I started off great for the first 3 miles which was flat, with some small inclines and down hills. At mile 3 I had to stop and tie my shoe, It took me forever to tie it, lost about 12 seconds, than struggled to regain my pace. Than the inclines came and that slowed my pace a bit. on the last 1/2 mile I finally regained a good pace but the last 1/2 mile is a long steady incline so I had to pace myself to have enough in the tank. Overall it was a great start to my Thanksgiving Day What would you do differently?: Make sure my shoes are tied tightly, start off slower on the 1st half of the race and push it on the second half. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and than some breakfast with my parents at the Trolley Stop Dinner What limited your ability to perform faster: Well I coach wrestling and the season started last friday and Ive been pretty sore all week, and I probably shouldn't of squatted for the first time this year 2 days from race day. My legs were sore on race day, but I did better than I thought considering how my legs and body felt. Event comments: I trained tons of times on that trail, so it was nice to race on my home turf.
