Was good through 20 and then the cramping started. Just too warm and HR out of zone for me to not have this happen. BTW, those freaking compression socks are the best fraud out there. THEY DON'T WORK. Tin cup.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe because of the weather really force myself to a slower pace. I ran 8/1's religiously until the cramping and then converted to walking the hills because that's where it was most troublesome.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat and hydration. Once I started to go dry I just couldn't keep up with the fluid intake.

Event comments:

You have to bring your A-game to this event. Not for the casual observer. Weather is so unpredictable. ATL broke the heat record on race day. I've run this course in tights and gloves so be wary.
