Pre-race routine:

Trigods(Chris) and I went out the night before to the resaurant I worked at through college. Had an awesome pre race meal and just caught up a bit. Came back relaxed a bit while watchin ironman videos and then went to bed around 1030. Woke up at 4am to the ound of pouring rain. Continued to get ready had some breakfast and then made the 45 minute drive to the race site. Chris and I were the first ones in the morning registration so we went through the packet pickup and then proceeded to set up our transitions area and wathced as storms danced all around the area.Also found Renee and Mike Special K and hung out with them a bit.
Event warmup:

Didnt do much because I always use the swim as a warmup but did about 100m and then talk to my parents who got there before the race. We had to hold off on the start because of the storms and finally got started.

Swim was pretty good. I started out way to hard and could not get theturns done. I was scared to do flip turns because I did not want to kick anyone but from now on I will do them. I only got passed by 2 people whihc was good because i seated myself a little faster than I thought I could swim so I wouldnt get blocked to much. I did also pass two people so not all that bad. Oh I finished 3rd im my division in my swim.
What would you do differently?:

Not start out to hard and work on flip turns and swim further through the exit.

It was a weird transition due to the fact you could mount at the end of the racks so i was watching out for bikers. I took my time got a dring of gatorade and took off.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to jump on bike with shoes on the bike.

Well I continue to suck on the bike. It never fails I get out of the pool fast and then only to get passed on the bike. My time is getting faster though so thats the good thing it just sucks to get passed and I am way to competitive and dont realize that it will take me a while before I can hammer the bike. Did alot beter on the hills and I actually passed two people. so not bad.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing really just keep up the TITS and it will come so I have to be patient.

My T2 times are always a bit slow beause I make sure to get my socks on and everything is right. The way I see it until I get close to place I am gonna keep taking my time to make sure its all good.

This run sucked!! I was horrible and just could not get anthing going. My timew were about a minute plus off my last race which was a tougher run course and alot warmer. I guess its a culmination of a busy training schedule and stress but like I said horrible!!!
What would you do differently?:

Dont know but when I figure it out I will do it.

Warm down:

Saw my parents with Chris(trigods) and talked to them a bit at my Transition area while I cleaned up and heard RRizzo's(renee) name called so yelled out for her and then went and got a PBJ and headed back to the borro for burritos!!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was just tired overall but nothing else. I am getting better overall just have to put it all together for a race.

Event comments:

Team Magic put on another great race with awesome volunteers and post race activities. The city of Mcminnville was also in full support . I will definetley do this one agian next year.
