Run
Comments: Should have worn a lighter shirt. It was pretty warm towards the end. Around mile 18 I started feeling very tired and started slowing down a bit. Just not much gas left in the tank. Still, nothing like running on home turf. What would you do differently?: Not much, today was more about being able to race with friends and spending the day with my son and mom than running fast. Amazingly I saw them three different times out on the course. Given everything I'm pretty happy with my time. Post race
Warm down: Walked back home with my family, who had the excitement of seeing me cramp up and drop to one knee :) I am so glad I live close to the finish! Ate brunch and passed out for two hours. What limited your ability to perform faster: Giving 100% at Marine Corps 3 weeks ago and then immediately getting a cold. I am just worn out from racing this year. But it feels so good. Event comments: There is no marathon course for which I'd check "too easy." Last updated: 2011-11-20 12:00 AM

Got up at 5 and ate oatmeal. Got my son up at 6 and walked over to the corrals and met my running friends. Otherwise I did very little preparation for this race as I did the Marine Corps Marathon as my "A" race 3 weeks ago.
Nothing, just talking with other running friends. It was hard to be motivated to do more than finish.
