Run
Comments: This is a new PR for me, though I don't feel like I left it all out on the course. My HRM slipped down on my chest and wasn't working all the time. I didn't want to start out too quickly and since I didn't have any feedback I think I started slower than I could have. What would you do differently?: Learn to judge my pace more by feel and rely less on the HRM. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit. Talked to some of the students I knew in the race. Drank a bottle of water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heart Rate Monitor wasn't reading all the time, it had slipped down. Need to learn to run more by feel for races. I started a bit slower than I normally would, it was cold and took some time to warm up. Event comments: Given that this is run by students at the college, they did a great job! There was water about every mile, though it really wasn't needed with the cool temps. They had plenty of folks out on the course so it would be nearly impossible to get of course. Campus Saftey closed the roads where there were not paths to run on as well as stopped traffic at all the intersections. I would say the most difficult part of the course is the numerous turns and zig-zag's, they seem to slow me down a little bit. Last updated: 2006-04-30 12:00 AM
