![]() Swim
Comments: This was a nice swim. I did not have any kind of problem. My time, albeit slow, is about par for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing! ![]() Transition 1
![]() Bike
Comments: I lost a bit of time trying to mount the bike. Tried and failed twice to clip into my pedals and start to ride. Started slowly because I had the bike in a too high gear. Then, my bib fell off!. I caught it but had to stop to pin it on!?! :( And to make matters even worse, my front gear shifter was not working properly!!!!!!!!!! What would you do differently?: 1. Attach my shoes to the bike and learn to do a jump start 2. Bring the damned bike in to have the gears adjusted 3. NEVER FORGET my darned bib belt to the race! ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Much faster transition than I thought I had done! ![]() Run
Comments: I got passed by so many people that I assumed that I was running very slowly. I did pick up my pace all along the course. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I think that my run was great! ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked around for awhile. What limited your ability to perform faster: Problems with the bike and mounting the bike, exacerbated by the fact that my bib came off. Event comments: Best organized triathlon I've ever done. Each participant is assigned a numbered space for race gear and bike. Last updated: 2006-05-01 12:00 AM

Had breakfast at the hotel, the usual, coffee and oatmeal. Drove to the race site, parked the car and assembled my gear. Wonderful! Each contestant has a numbered spot for tri gear. I arranged everything in order to facilitate recovering them for each leg of the tri
Walked around looking at the women. This time I actually went out for a light jog to warm up a little more just before the swim start.
