Pre-race routine:

Had normal breakfast, then had a bagel with PB and a banana at ~11 before leaving for Dom's house. Drove to Dom's and then Sarah drove us both to the start and dropped us off. Registered and then wandered over to a different building to use the restroom and hang out before heading to the start.
Event warmup:

No warm-up, just chatted with friends.

Comments:

I carried my small handheld this time and was glad I did. Took a sip from that every mile that didn't have a water stop. Did two gels - one at the water stop after Religion Hill and one at the water stop on Caton Rd. I took it out fairly easy and survived the hills. I pushed harder and felt better on the downhills than last year. Wasn't expecting to be too fast after less than optimal training for Wineglass and limited running after that.
What would you do differently?:

More training miles...
Post race
Warm down:

Nothing really, grabbed water, walked over to refreshment area...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training miles

Event comments:

Again I hesitate to answer the plenty of drink station question. Technically there are what should be enough (4), but they are spaced strangely and it's a long ways between the top of Religion Hill and the stop on Caton Rd (~4 miles). I had fun even if it was my slowest half ever.

Course: Standard Red Baron - HILLY for first 5 miles, then down hill for ~ 5miles, then mostly flat. Oh, they changed the finish - that sounded like a good idea not to have to run up over the grassy bank by the Y, but instead we had to make a 180ยบ turn up over a curve. Not cool...
