Comments: thought I had a chance to break 1:30 but knew after mile 2 that wasn't going to happen. Legs are still not back all the way from Boston. I was drenched with sweat by mile 3 and decided to run this race for the first time just to enjoy it and take it in. I talked with several friends as they passed me and stopped to see if could see my wife at mile 4 while I was at 9.5 miles. I had a restroom break at mile 10 then started to run again and give high fives to everyone and thank them for being out there. Finished smiling and feeling better than ever before it was very fun for me. What would you do differently?: I would need more speed work and more time(Boston was only 19 days ago) to get my legs back. Post race
Warm down: walked around then ran back out to bring my wife in What limited your ability to perform faster: tired legs, heat and humidity Event comments: Had a good time and can now rest from running for awhile. woke up at 4am ate some cream of wheat used the restroom then started the drive to Indy
quarter mile warmup and some dynamic streching
