Pre-race routine:

Small breakfast of Muesli and a whole wheat english muffin
Stretch. Went out to check bike and had a flat. Glad I checked
Event warmup:

3 easy miles - Should have warmed up more. The beginning pace almost killed me. I averaged over 20 mph for the first hour. Way too much for me

2 flats on the course. Thank god for CO2 cartridges!!
What would you do differently?:

Drink electrolyte drink. I cramped SOOOOOOO bad on the last 20 miles I thought I'd have to drop out. I forgot my Endurox in the car - STUPID!!!! I would definitely not try to match the pace of others at the beginning of the race. If I had settled in to a comfortable pace early, my time would have been much better.

Warm down:

Went straight home - Had a cocktail. Smart?? No. But it made me happy

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My ability to stay in the saddle that long. My ass was killing me. I rode the last 15 miles almost completely out of the saddle.
