Swim
Comments: This was my first tri and i wasn't able to get into a pool to get a swime in to find out how slow i am. I thought a 10 to 11 min swim would be close so my 9 min was a great surprise for me. I was cought behind multable people that were slower then ma. And i believe i swallowed 1/2 the pool. What would you do differently?: more training Transition 1
Comments: Got stuck putting on long sleave t-shirt. It was cold out. What would you do differently?: do a dry run or two. Bike
Comments: time includes transition. Ride was good. It was slower then i was expecting. I passed the transition enterence. This rookie needed a sign and arrow. Me and my iron horse(steel frame 18 year old mtn bike) passed a hand full of $2000 tri bikes. That was encouraging. What would you do differently?: walk my transition lanes to get comfertable with the area. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt good to over take two runners in my age group w/ my shetlen pony legs. I felt good and had more in the tank at the end. Had a good longer then normal kick at the end. What would you do differently?: not much. Train w/ a more all around running training program. Post race
Warm down: stretch. Felt some shin splints and tightening in my calfs What limited your ability to perform faster: a job. Event comments: Need sings of were to enter the transition for roockies like me. Would like the transintion time seperat. This was my first tri ever and i had a great time and had helpfull, friendly people out there helping. Thanks Last updated: 2011-12-04 12:00 AM
