Bike
Comments: I literally gave it ALL I had today, and came up a bit short, like .05 of a second short, which is probably like half a pedal stroke? Aaargh. Given my level of fatigue going into this, I knew it was gonna be tough. I was able to mentally get in the zone, and suffer, and coach Jorge was literally right there to not let me "fade". (Thank You) He probably needed an umbrella to hide away from my sweat. Overall I am happy with the way it went, and numbers don't lie! 7 short (45 min - 1 hour) workouts in the last 3 weeks (since my last Indoor TT), and 4 more watts (242 Watts) putting me pretty much where I was at the end of March last year. Without any cycling focus - I'll take. Talk about efficiency. Jorge really knows what he is doing, and I can't thank him enough. What would you do differently?: 1/2 a pedal stroke I didn't have ... I literally gave it ALL I had. Post race
Warm down: Spin, and spin some more once I could ... What limited your ability to perform faster: Pretty happy with the results considering how sore/tired my legs were from the weeks leading up to this. I know noone really "tapers" for a 10K TT, and it makes it that much more tough mentally to push your limits. I happy with where I am at. Event comments: Great ITT (Thank you Landry's and BTT). I won a gift certificate (new running shoes are calling my name), and a very cool Zipp Tri bag, which I needed! Success! http://www.trisports.com/zippgearbag.html Last updated: 2011-12-16 12:00 AM
