Run
Comments: Hanson was going to pace me to 1:42. Was spot on until my Plantar facias tendon popped. Walked 1/2 mile then said "WHAT THE HECK". Shuffled in the rest of the way, walked up some hills because the foot hurt worse going up. Pain was about the same. Kind of enjoyed the run instead of racing it. It was different. Not sure that I would have PR'd this anyway, the course got very HOT quickly and with the hills, it would have been tough. What would you do differently?: My nephew who is a 1:35 HM, did it in 1:45 and said the heat got to him. Hanson did a 1:41, whatever!! LOL. Thanks CRRUNNER10. Post race
Warm down: Hobbled around looking for my brother, but never found him. Hobbled over to the HCA tent and caught a ride back to my car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Plantar Facitious . Event comments: Lot's of debating on the local running sites about is this a spectacle or race. I say spectacle all the way. It was fun, but the course is very difficult to race. I had very fitful sleep. Not sure why, was not really worried. Maybe because I was meeting Hanson and knew there would be 30,000 people down there.
Jogged from my car to the corral's. Hit 7:45 just to see the effort. It was easy.
