Swim
Comments: The stats company didn't track information by age group so difficult to filter all the information. Makes you appreciate Sports Stats! What would you do differently?: Everything! I know now I can use 3/1 to help control the hyperventilation when I panic but I really need to work on getting my head screwed on straight. It is crippling and preventing me from racing to my full potential. It cost me second for sure and possibly 1st. I can swim much better than I did. Transition 1
Comments: I felt it went well. Everything was in bags do to the rain so I lost a few seconds on getting my shoes but I don't regret that decision. Bike
Comments: Strong bike leg What would you do differently?: try to push the pace a little more now that I am familiar with the running route and could have pushed my legs a little more. Transition 2
Comments: Great transition Run
Comments: With hindsight I might have been able to push harder on the run and had a 4:55 pace but considering where my head was from the swim I am pleased with my overall performance. The course makes it really easy to pace yourself and keep track of your competition. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My mental state Event comments: The volunteers and organizers were great. They ran with military precision. From a spectators perspective the race is fantastic. There are lots of opportunities to see the racers and cheer them on. It's the only swim where the spectators can walk along the pier and cheer the swimmers on. Last updated: 2011-12-21 12:00 AM

Leamington Triathlon Weekend
Precipitation
Overall Rank = 130/203
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 3/10
Was thrown off because there was a major thunderstorm the morning and everything was up in the air
Also thrown off. It was down pouring when I arrived and had to set transition up in the rain. I was frozen to the core and I hadn't even started racing yet. You weren't allowed in the water until it was safe, so everyone huddled under the tents trying to warm up and get dry.
