Swim
Comments: I really felt like I was pushing it so my time was disappointing. I was surprised that I was 8th in my age group. I'm usually much lower. What would you do differently?: I felt like I did everything I could during the race. Obviously, need to work more on stroke effeciency for the long term. Transition 1
Comments: Couldn't get feet into shoes easily. Shoes kept turning over. Bike
Comments: I felt I was going faster than 16 but the time tells the story. I was actually worried I might be going too fast so slowed down some during the second lap. What would you do differently?: Not much. I would have liked to have gone faster but I had something left for the run. Transition 2
Comments: Got off bike OK but then shoe drug along ground and had to stop to clear it. Then I went down the wrong aisle to rack my bike but probably only lost a few seconds. What would you do differently?: Get off smoother and know exactly where my rack is. Run
Comments: This was a great run for me. I had a Gu about 1/2 mile into the run and I think it really helped later on. What would you do differently?: Nothing - keep working on the bricks - they're helping alot. Post race
Warm down: Met with Terri and Sandy and walked bike back to car. Would have liked to do more stretching. Event comments: Good race overall and good one for beginners. Well organized especially considering the number of participants. The two loops on the bike were a little crowded and there was a longish wait to start the swim but other than that, I thought it was an above average race. Last updated: 2006-05-03 12:00 AM
