Comments:

I was crapping my dacks the whole race. I was so petrified of coming off my bike. Then the rain got really heavy at one point and i cried. I was so scared. I didn't want to be out there. I was ready to pike after the first lap, but i can't so plodded on. Not happy with my efforts. I know i can go faster. I should have been around 2:55.
What would you do differently?:

If i was to have those conditions again i would use my normal wheels. They were one of the reasons i was scared. OR train with the wheels more often.
Eat and drink more. The conditions were so scary i didnt eat and drink enough.
Transition 2
  • 03m 9s
Comments:

Took my time. Got back to my spot and someone had racked there bike in my spot so had to rack it a bit further up and ran back to my spot. Took my time. Once again thought about pulling out. Put on some sunscreen.

  • 2h 31m 17s
  • 20 kms
  • 07m 34s  min/km
Comments:

Was happy to be running. Had a good first 10k. the last 10k was tough. The lack of eating/drinking on the bike caught up with me.
What would you do differently?:

suck it up and run. NO reason to walk, just had the cbfs.
Post race
Warm down:

walk back to transition a few stretches.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my mental state. I didn't want to be there. My heart wasn't in it.

Event comments:

They didn't have the finisher medals available.
