Pre-race routine:

A decent night's sleep. Bagel and peanut butter. Drive to the race and parked on Constitution. No problems.
Event warmup:

Ran gently and did light stretching. Tried to get a good place in the queue and just keep loose.

Comments:

I missed the first mile marker so I didn't know how fast I was going. I did check my watch at the water station. It was pretty clear I was easily breaking 30 at that point. 17:33 at the two mile mark. I had no extra gear at the end. Steve Prefontaine.
What would you do differently?:

More training, more training, more training.
Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed a bottle of water and walk/jogged a bit. Heard Jason Van Pelt's name announced so I found him. A very good guy.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training.

Event comments:

A good start to my year and better than I would hoped after my Thursday run.
