Swim
Comments: Slow at the start getting in so I did not jump on people who were being very slow. Sorry non-swimmer, but as a guy who swam in high school, this is my area. No diving in the DEEP END kind of sucked. First lap spent rounding lots of people. Lots of hangers at the end on the walls made it tough to move over. First lap was slow, but at an okay pace (1:01 50m) Transition 1
Comments: Reverse Tri, so T1 was run to bike. I felt it went okay. Caught my breath walking bike out. Love the new magnetic clip on my aero helmet Bike
Comments: Work on hills, and false flats. I would always slow down too much on this part. Backside was fun. Downhill and fast. Hit 28 on the back one time in aero position and kinda spooked me a little. (Not used to going that fast with my chug butt) Paced people who passed me on the run which was nice. What would you do differently?: Work on hills more. Get more comfortable in aero position Transition 2
Comments: This was bike to swim transition. Long run to get to pool. Watch had me at 1:43 out of T2, then a 3 minute run to the pool. Run
Comments: My weakest leg. Need to work more so I do not have the slow time I have. Achilles issues up to the race caused some problem What would you do differently?: Train more on the run. Stretch better. Post race
Event comments: Gets a 4 because of the 3 playgrounds close by for my son to play at and not cause too many problems. Also, I liked the course. Much better than what Race on the Base has become. Last updated: 2012-01-09 12:00 AM

Tried something different. Ate a bagel with peanut butter, and a bottle of Zico Coconut Water (Chocolate Flavor) on the way to the race. Packed the car up and headed out on the trek to get there.
Some stretching focusing on claves and achilles since I have had issues with that recently.
