Swim
Comments: Pretty drastic improvement here. I would have had a much better swim but the first 150m or so were real rough, just nervousness I guess. The time includes the run up to transition, so I actually came out of the water at like 12:50(long run). What would you do differently?: Warm up more maybe? Transition 1
Comments: This was a wierd race design. Swim-bike-run-bike-run. So there were four transitions. The time for this one is the combined time of both bike transitions. Overall pretty good. Bike
Comments: Definately the hilliest course that I do. However, the fact that the bike was split up probably slowed me here, because I never got into a good groove. What would you do differently?: Hill repeats. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty decent here, but I had a hard time getting into my running shoes both times and I almost did the run with my helmet on. What would you do differently?: nada Run
Comments: Did pretty good here for almost no 5k training in the last 6 mos. I was really pleased with the second split. What would you do differently?: Do more track workouts, like one maybe. Post race
Warm down: nada, just stretching and riding the bike back to my car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of race specific training; I am probably much better suited to an Olympic distance race right now. Event comments: Pretty good overall, but the awards ceremony started really late. But it was worth it because I had a GREAT RACE and I got some HARDWARE! The most important thing to me is that I improved tons over last years race. Last updated: 2006-05-06 12:00 AM

Me and Dad drove to the race, and I already had my packet so I just got marked and set up my transition and tried to stay hydrated.
NOTE: If you dislike stone bruises on the bottom of your feet, put sandals down by the swim exit.
