Run
Comments: I was still nursing a couple of tender quads. I had rested them 2 days prior to the event. My training was light, so I was not going to push this race. I just wanted to finish injury-free and use this event as a training run for the SD RnR full marathon. Post race
Warm down: Met up with the rest of the group, walked around the booths, then headed back. Had to drive down to San Diego immediately after the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Tender quads. Event comments: This is one of my favorite events. I love the location, the route and the weather is always perfect. Hopefully next year my legs will be in better shape and I won't have to hold back. This is definetly a course to PR on. Last updated: 2012-01-14 12:00 AM

Hit the EXPO on Sat and watch my neices run in the kids OC run. Slept at cousin's house in Huntington Beach. Woke up at 4AM, ate PB sandwich, got to OC fairgrounds by 5:30am and boarded shuttle to the start. Got to the starting just as the National Anthem was being sung, still had to hit the porta-potty. Started with the last waves.
Walked from shuttle to start. Warmed up in the first couple of miles, since it crowded, had to take it slow, which was okay.
