Comments: Overall, felt strong and together, eyes watered b/c of the cold...interestly, my nipples chafed bad...glad to see I had enough in the take for an 8 mile, although this was probably less... What would you do differently?: Not do a squat workout the day before...lose weight... Post race
Warm down: Nothing, just stretching and getting warm, stupid tactic though What limited your ability to perform faster: Weight, gear, mental Event comments: Great race, although distance was not really 8 miles, probably 7.5 or 7.25 really...lots of volunteers, nice people..setup does a great job, as always...fast course and trail runners are nice and encouraging... Got up around 7, drove the 2 hours to the race site, parked, registered, took a shit, let the dog take a shit, got changed into racing outfit, pinned on my number and chip..had some shitty coffee, banana, and honey nut cheerios bar on the way...
Just .75 miles slow, plenty of stretching, also played Childish Gambino's "Sunrise" a whole lot...it was really cold, so didn't do that much...
