Comments: Just tried to stay on my run/walk schedule that I'm going to use for the Sarasota Half. Shortened stride going up the bridge and increased rest intervals. Still a bit leary of my Achilles tendon; tried to be care on the incline and declines on the bridge. What would you do differently?: Never really pushed that hard and had a lot left at the end; could have gone harder. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a bottle of water, walked around expo and talked with friends. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more confidence in Achilles. Been training at Half Mary pace and don't have a feel for shorter race pace. Still want to loose some more weight. Event comments: Well organized race. Plenty of friendly volunteers. Up at 5:00AM. Got dressed, had some coffee and left for race site at 6:00AM.
Walked around the expo and talked with friends until the start. No real warm-up.
