Comments:

I was shooting for a 1:30 and was going to try to run that pace. However, my more realistic goal was to break 1:35. I held back on first mile due to fear of going out to fast and reached first mile at 7.18. I then pushed over next 2 miles to try to get back on pace. By mile 8, I had no speed to run under 7.00 to push for a 1:30. Overall, very pleased with race and beat my PR by over 6 minutes. Mile splits - 7.18; 6.44; 6.37; 7.06; 7.07; 6.51; 6.53; 7.03; 7.00; 7.05; 7.06; 7.07 & 7.49 (1.1).
What would you do differently?:

Train a little harder and try to not to make up pace so much right away.
Post race
Warm down:

Took about 10 minutes to get through maze to race exit. Then walked home.

Event comments:

This race would be a 5 but for the $120 race entry fee. It is a major race and destination race for many. It is a hometown race for me and can pay $30 to race other HM. I heard the later corrals took 20-25 minutes to get to start.
