Comments:

I felt great during this run. My legs were a little sore (I had done Boston on Monday of the same week), but I felt really good. Roanoke is my hometown, so I am very familiar with Mill Mtn and the rest of the course.

Warm down:

Tried to keep moving as much as possible. I was pretty sore after a marathon and a half marathon in 6 days.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Somewhat sore quads from Boston.

Event comments:

I really like this race - Roanoke is my hometown. I wasn't sure if I should be doing this so soon after a full marathon, but I'm glad I did. My time was 2 minutes faster than the previous year.

Course: This is a tough half marathon, about 2500 ft overall elevation change. One long uphill (Mill Mtn) and a steep downhill. The hills are over after about 6 miles and then it's an easy greenway/downtown run after that.
