Comments: Ran an extra two miles. Had calf cramps at the end that caused serious slowing in the last four miles. What would you do differently?: Not do two extra miles for sure! Drink more. Maybe take an E-Cap but the calf problems were more about the hills and my stride than they were about electrolyte problems. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: This was my longest run since 2007. If I had not done the two extra miles, things would have been a lot better. Event comments: The race itself was pretty well run, and the aid was there. Many people took the same wrong turn I did. Apparently the marker was behind a fallen tree, so I guess better marking would have been good. Having race results on race day is always nice.
