Swim
Comments: 2 people in front of me were no shows so instead of a 15 second gap, I got a 45 second gap. Allowed me to swim the 1st 1/2 of the swim, virtually by myself. Plus, 50 meter pools vs. 25 yd pools seem to get less congested. What would you do differently?: Nothing, maybe get out of pool a lil' better:) Transition 1
Comments: All transition time was in the bike portion of the race. What would you do differently?: Nothing, my transitions today were absolutely flawless! Bang, bang and I had the best spot I could've gotten in the bike racks! Bike
Comments: Really hammered this bike ride!!! MPH didn't show it, but the wind was a definate factor. Did the bike and the run with the feeling of being on the verge of getting a headache. Felt much more fresh this week over last as I've had more time to recover from the HIM at Marquee. What would you do differently?: Notha!!! Transition 2
Comments: Awesome T2, my short race transitions are really getting efficient! What would you do differently?: Nothing! Run
Comments: Got to the 1st turn once we got off campus and missed it!!!!!! Probably lost about 40/45 seconds!!! Really needed a volunteer at the corner directing the run course, several people made the same mistake! Other than that, run was good. After the mishap, I was very angry with myself and I think it really helped me dig deeper. Didn't feel like my run legs were 100% today, as this was my 3rd race in 14 days, but much, much better than last week. Didn't have that feeling of hanging on by my fingernails, and when I tried to find another gear, it was there. What would you do differently?: Pay attention better!!! Post race
Warm down: Drank a protein drink that I brought from home and ate some fruit! Hung out with Joe Kramer and waited for the awards ceremony! Really had a good time today! Joe and I met about a month ago at LA fitness and I didn't even know he was gonna be there today, then we end up both winning our age groups! What limited your ability to perform faster: 3rd race in 14 days, but hey! Event comments: 1st win and I'll take it!!! This is what we show up to do!! All this hard work is paying off and this will definately light my fire even brighter if that's possible:) No place like 1st place! Still had a few things I could've done better, so I'm not gonna sit around feeling fat and happy! Still could do this and still could do that, better and faster! Last updated: 2012-01-25 12:00 AM

Not much different than any other other race, headed out early and hung out with Joe Kramer pre-race and spent alot of my morning picking up glass in transition. Last thing I wanted to do was was slice my foot coming out of the pool or get a flat on my bike on the way the way out.
Swam a 200 in the small pool. Swam an easy 100 and swam the 2nd 100 in the bottom of my zone.
