Swim
Comments: Not bad considering I have only been in the pool 4 times since last October and was getting over a cold. Estimated time was 5:59 so I was only 4 sec off. What would you do differently?: Get into the pool earlier next season. Transition 1
Comments: Didn't get clipped in fast enough but that was after I crossed the mount line so it doesn't really count as T1. This was actually my fastest T1 of the 3 PowerSprints I have done. Bike
Comments: Worked hard on the bike since I was not running afterward. This was also my fastest bike leg of the 3 Powersprints I have done. Post race
Warm down: Eat, drink and cheer for other finishers. The physically challenged athletes were inspirational. It was great to welcome Larkin into the tri family. Listening to him reminds me of my first race and the excitement and accomplishment I felt. It is what keeps me coming back for more. What limited your ability to perform faster: Getting over a cold and not be able to run due to a sprained ankle 4 weeks ago, Event comments: I was disappointed that I couldn't do the full tri but there was a silver lining... Due to the dearth of aquabike entries I actually got a 3rd place. It was also great to see QueenZipp get 2nd place in her AG. Last updated: 2012-01-25 12:00 AM
