Comments: Heart rate waaay high here. Different bikes seem to be harder to get same wattage. 95-100 rpm would get me 240 which seemed harder to maintain. At last spin class I averaged 274 over 45 minutes and here I ave about 240 What would you do differently?: Should have pushed harder throught the middle Transition 2

Comments: Started about 7/mi. Gradually increased to 6:30 but then had to back off as I felt I couldn't maintain that pace. finished quickly w/ sub 6/mi last .3 miles Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more longer swim sets. had to pause at 200, 300, and 350. Event comments: Great start to the season. Nice to give your gear a small tryout. Realized my Zoot's aren't that much faster than regular shoes w/ speed laces, but still no socks so probably better overall. Definitely hard to push yourself as you have no idea where people are at relative to you. Not like you could see someone passing you on the bike because they could have started before you. They could have had volunteers announcing times and distances - "We gone at 9 miles at 18 min." I definitely should have paced out something on the bike before hand as I had no clue what I could do on the bike, having never looked at mileage at spin clas. Last updated: 2012-01-29 12:00 AM
